Rechtzaak
Begin december was het zover: we hebben de dagvaarding in de Siliconenzaak uitgebracht.
Dat ging niet stilletjes. Radar wijdde er een uitzending en een artikel aan. Ook NRC heeft erover geschreven. Advocaat Jantina Hiemstra vertelde over de zaak in het journaal op NPO Radio 1. En in Margriet stond een interview met Marjon, die tot twee keer aan toe zonder het te weten gevaarlijke borstimplantaten heeft gekregen. RTL Nieuws sprak met Riet, die na haar borstamputatie vanwege kanker opnieuw kanker kreeg van haar Allergan implantaten. De Siliconenzaak is ook belicht in onder andere AD, het Noordhollands Dagblad, Linda en Opzij.

En er is al goed nieuws: Bergman Clinics heeft ons ervan verzekerd dat zij de overeenkomsten van Allergan niet meer zullen aanbieden aan patiënten. Eerder hebben wij Bergman Clinics aansprakelijk gesteld omdat zij overeenkomsten van Allergan aan vrouwen gaven die hen afstand lieten doen van hun rechten om schadevergoeding te eisen. Dit mag niet en dit hebben we Bergman laten weten met de aansprakelijkstelling. Dit is een belangrijke stap in de Siliconenzaak.

This is a GLOBAL health issue that affects women, men, and transgender people. There are numerous publications that should be brought to light to further education, research, and support. This summit aims to provide unbiased and informative learning opportunities.
We are already in the planning stages for the next research and the support structure for this underserved community and we look forward to hosting the 2022 summit.

NVPC alert na bericht FDA

| De Nederlandse Vereniging voor Plastische Chirurgie (NVPC) is extra alert na een waarschuwing van de FDA voor een mogelijk verband tussen borstimplantaten en bepaalde vormen van kanker. De Amerikaanse Food and Drug Administration (FDA) die onder andere de kwaliteit van medicijnen controleert, plaatste recent een bericht op haar website, dat zij enkele meldingen heeft gekregen van vrouwen met borstimplantaten, die gediagnostiseerd zijn met een plaveiselcelcarcinoom (kanker vanuit epitheel of dekweefsel) of verschillende typen lymfomen (lymfeklierkanker). lees het volledig bericht op : de site van de NVPC |
